A Small Discovery About SIDS
London researchers discovered 2 common bacterias (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia) in high levels from post-mortem studies on 500 babies who died of SIDS. These bacterias are found in most of our bodies but it’s important to note that they were found in high levels in the babies who died from SIDS. Since little is known about the cause of SIDS it’s a decent finding, but it’s not enough yet to determine cause exclusively. Hopefully more significant studies will follow from their results.
